SURJ ABOLITION ACTION HOUR

Date & Time: Thursday, July 8th, 12:00pm - 1:00pm PDT
Location: Zoom, register here
Details: Every month, SURJ members gather to learn together and spend time making calls and sending emails in support of frontline racial justice campaigns. Join SURJ next Thursday July 8th at 3 pm ET/12 PT for SURJ’s monthly Action Hour to take collective action to help build a world where people aren’t locked away in for-profit prisons and immigrant detention centers, and where Indigenous rights, land and water are protected for the benefit of all.

This week, SURJ takes action in partnership with SURJ Atlanta and within a powerful multiracial coalition to pressure the Atlanta City council to vote NO on the ordinance to bulldoze hundreds of acres of public forest for the Police foundation to build an enormous cop-training facility; in solidarity with water protectors resisting the Line 3 pipeline in so-called Minnesota; to free former Black Panther and political prisoner Sundiata, and; to pressure Democratic leadership to defend Palestinians from ethnic cleansing. Join SURJ and work together in community to build the world we need.
