Details: Every week for more than two and a half years, families directly impacted by police violence have been joining Black Lives Matter - Los Angeles and allied organizations in demanding District Attorney Jackie Lacey do her job or step down. While she has continued to refuse to fulfill her role in representing “The People,” these weekly protests have resulted in her facing a run-off in November’s election. She went from running unopposed in 2016 to not even being endorsed by the Los Angeles County Democratic Party in 2020 and was challenged in the primary election by multiple candidates. As we head toward November, and even in the wake of a pandemic, these protests will and do continue to happen weekly, just in a new form. Join us this and every Wednesday as we listen to and engage with the families, lift up the memory of those lost, and continue to say #JackieLaceyMustGo!
