Details: This is an in-person event, please show up masked and stay socially distant. Major Push Needed for Police-Free LAUSD. This Tuesday, June 22nd, the LAUSD school board will be voting to finalize their budget. Currently, the budget sets aside over $50 million for school police - including tens of millions of education dollars allocated for vacant positions, weapons & ammo, k-9 units and more. We know that Black & Brown youth in LAUSD deserve care, not cops, and that the $50 million for LASPD should be reallocated immediately.
