AWARE-LA STORY CIRCLES - PERSONAL STAKE

Date & Time: Wednesday, September 29th, 6:30-8:00pm PT

Location: Zoom, register here
Details: Join AWARE-LA Story Circles for an opportunity to build community and practice sharing your personal stake in a supportive small-group setting. Uncovering and exploring your personal stake in collective liberation is a lifelong process. It can be a powerful experience to articulate your personal stake as it is evolving, and to listen to other anti-racist white folks share their ever-evolving personal stakes.

While this round of story circles will be most beneficial for folks who have already been doing some work around their personal stake, we welcome everyone who wants to participate, and will send you some materials to help you prepare for the circles once you register.

Click here to see a resource to learn more about what story circles are.

WP4BL LOOKING AT MASCULINITY AND PATRIARCHY

Date & Time: Every other Thursday, 7:00pm - 8:30pm PDT
Location: Zoom, for dates and to register click here
Details: Looking At Masculinity & Patriarchy (LAMP) is an affinity space offered by White People 4 Black Lives so that male-presenting people can explore both the complexities of our socialization into white male culture and the ways it is impacting our work and relationships. This 90-minute online meeting will specifically invite participants to explore how their male gender role socialization is impacting the ways they are showing up (or not showing up) in the fight for Black Lives. Join us as we work to build a supportive community committed to dialogue, reflection, education and action to dismantle patriarchy and white supremacy in the struggle for collective liberation.
Accessibility: We can provide ASL interpreters and closed captioning upon request. To ensure availability, please make your request at least 72 hours prior to the event you wish to attend.
